For seniors who need a helping hand getting to and from events and social gatherings Foothills Home Services can help - through our Elderly Personal Care & Senior Support Services, we provide long-term or temporary companionship for seniors in Calgary and areas along with assisting in tasks such as grocery shopping and appointments. Okotoks and District Seniors Club

The Okotoks and District Seniors Club is a registered Non-Profit organization welcoming seniors 55 and over. Memberships fees are $10.00 per calendar year and a $2.00 user fee per activity. The club offers a range of activities geared to keep seniors both socially and physically active. Included but not limited to -

  • Floor Curling

  • Video Exercise

  • Pool 

  • Bridge

  • Wii Bowling

  • Knitting Group

  • Line Dancing and more!

The Club also hosts a monthly Friday social for the $2 drop-in user fee. Beverages are available to purchase and potluck shareable appetizers are provided by attendees. 

A monthly dinner is also arranged for members only at the cost of $10.

Royal Canadian Legion

Royal Canadian Legion branches are the cornerstone of communities across Canada. Providing help to local Veterans, supporting seniors, volunteering to help those in need, and always offering a place to gather for fun and celebration! Living in the Foothills there are several branches available to join whether your senior loved one is interested in morning coffee group, evening bar service, or participating in a darts or crib tournament. Fees are typically between $40 - $60 per member annually and help support operations such as administration, member programs, marketing, and facilities. Check out your local legion for facility specifics and weekly events.
